Sea Adventures

Hi Blog Readers.

Today I tried the Under The Sea animation. I found this activity super fun. My favourite part about doing this activity was getting to choose the animals. The animals I used were an Octopus and a Crab. Did you know that there are more than 4,500 species of Crabs? I decided not to put an ending to my animation because I thought that it would be fun to see what ideas for an ending you guys can come up with in the comments. Let me know what ideas for an ending you came up with…

What’s your favourite sea creature?

Ode To Joy

Hello Blog Readers.

Today I had a go at Viola the bird. I enjoyed making my own music using the Violin. This music reminds me of an opera show because it sounds like an instrument you may hear at one of those sort of shows. I may not have known what an Ode was before, but I certainly know what an Ode is know. An Ode is a poem that is meant to be sung

What does my song remind you of?

Where am I?

Hey blog readers

Happy Holidays!!!

For the last few weeks I have been working on another Summer Learning Journey Blog task called Where’s Wally kick start. This task was easy yet hard. You had to go onto the Summer Learning Journey task, make a copy of the story slide, go onto the Pixton app and create you own avatar. These avatars were super easy to make, it reminded me of making a Memoji. My favourite part about this activity was getting to create your avatar. The part I thought took the longest was putting all the people in different place to try and hide my avatar. For each slide I made a new avatar so I could try out unique looks. I enjoy Where’s Wally books because it tests your brain and gives you a challenge. Did you find all of my avatars?

Groove Pizza🍕

Last Tuesday we got the choice of what we did, but we didn’t get to do anything we had to choose something from another blog (Summer Learning Journey Blog).  This blog is a place you can go when you feel like doing a fun activity. I chose to do the Groove Pizza activity. Groove Pizza is a website that you can make your very own personalised music. My favourite part about making my own music is the fact that I can make the music suit my personality. I was able to make some really cool beats by just writing stuff.

The best part about this website is that there is no limit of how far you can go… well actually you can only make 4 funky beats, but that shouldn’t stop you.

what sort of music do you like?

Power Pop

Hi Blog readers,

This week we made our own superheroes with Michelle. This task was easy yet difficult.

How To do it…

  1. Go onto your Cybersmart folder in your drive
  2. Make a new slide
  3. Name your slide
  4. Make layout title and body
  5. Go on the first text box name it
  6. Go on the second text box describes the look of your superhero (Including power, name, strength, weakness, Outfit, enemy, sidekick and hair colour)
  7. Go onto the Summer Learning Journey blog or the end of this post to go onto the Craiyon link
  8. Click on drawing
  9. Copy the text on your slide and paste it onto the first text box you see
  10. Make sure all of the full stops become commas
  11. Press Draw
  12. Look at the images that the website has drawn and choose one or more that you like
  13. Take a screenshot of the image/images and put them next to your description

How I found it…

Personally I found it pretty easy, however there were a couple of things that I found hard: turning all the full stops into commas, coming up with a name and thinking of a superpower.                                                                                                      When I looked at my superhero for the first time I noticed that Craiyon hadn’t picked up on everything that I had said.  If I did this activity again I would Try to describe my superhero better than I did.                                                                        My favourite was looking at the images that Craiyon had created for me.                                                                                       My least favourite part was coming up with a name because it took me way too long.

LunaPic Night Time Collages

Hello Blog readers…

Today me and my class used a website called LunaPic. LunaPic is a super cool website that can make some epic  collages .Here are the steps to use LunaPic:

  1. Go onto our drive and make a new slide.
  2. Name your new slide.
  3. Insert an image of your choice.
  4. File the slide with the image as a PNG.
  5. Type LunaPic on your search bar.
  6. Click the link that says LunaPic.
  7. On the home page, hover over the word Art and select artist collage.
  8. Upload your image.
  9. Choose the style of the picture that you like.
  10. Screenshot the image and paste it onto your slide.
  11. Make the original image smaller than the collage image.
  12. Underneath the original image type original image.
  13. Look at you image and think of a name to call it.
  14. Remember to double check your work to make sure you like it.
  15. Show somebody else for them to check it.
  16. If your happy with what you’ve created than you can either make another or close your tab and shut down your device…

My favourite part about doing this activity was finding an image on line.

I disliked it when LunaPic wouldn’t let me do the picture that I had chosen.

Please let me know what you think I should work on for next time

Vanquish avail

We have been learning about avails. avails are things that you read or watch. In this case we watched.

We learned this to improve our reading and listening skills.

We watched a movie about a boy called Jesse and a girl called Leslie, who both love to run. The movie was based in the old days, and back then only boys were allowed to race but on Leslie’s first day at her new school she lined up with the boys and raced🏃. All the boys laughed and told her that she couldn’t race but she didn’t listen, she even won 🥇… Her and Jesse eventually became friends, they even had a special place that only they went to. They swung over a creek with a rope that they found to get to the other side. Jesse warned Leslie that it wasn’t stable and that it had been there for years. However Leslie didn’t care and tested it out, she made it across safely and told Jesse to try. One day when Jesse was at a museum, Leslie was part way over the creek the rope snapped in half while she was on it. She fell in the creek and unfortunately drowned😥…

Jesse                    Leslie

I enjoyed researching the words every time the movie had been paused.
I found it challenging to concentrate on the subtitles and not the movie.
My next step is thinking more about the base of the movie.
If I did this activity again I would pay more attention to the subtitles and less on the movie.

Please give me some honest feedback and let me know if you’ve ever done a Avail…
