Message in a Bottle – Step it up

Konnichiwa Blog Readers!!!

Today for SLJ I did the message in a bottle – step it up. I really enjoyed this activity because I got to choose where my bottle would end up! Although you can’t be sure where it will truely end up at, I still loved getting to think about it.

I chose my bottle to end up in NYC, even though I know that it would probably never end up there I didn’t see any harm in hoping. The reason I chose NYC is because going there is my life’s biggest dream. My teacher last year has been there a few times and has told us how awesome and crazy it is. I’m a city girl more than a country girl, that’s for sure.

If I did the task again I would probably put it where it would most likely end up!

If you did a message in a bottle, where do you think yours would end up?

Aquatic Animal – Step it up!

Bonjour Blog readers,

Today I did another Summer Learning Journey task! This task was super fun because I got to create my very own non-existing sea creature. An idea from The Summer Learning Journey team was to combine two animals into one. Also known as a Hybrid!

I chose a penguin and a shark for two reasons.

  1. Both look adorable as a cartoon, which I thought would make them as one animal look so unique and cute.
  2. One I absolutely adore, the other I am terrified of, this makes a perfect combo!

Let me know what you think in the comments. Also, what two animals would you do for a Hybrid???

Blog to you soon, au revoir!

Super Summer

Today I did the 101 Summer Holiday task. I liked this activity because I enjoy the summertime. The activities I decided to do while in Maldives were go to the under the sea restaurant and go to Fulhadhoo the beach. I found choosing what activities to do easy. I found deciding what to bring hard. I thought of many things but ended up only having room for a few: Tank Top and Denim Shorts for an outfit that will keep you cool, Swimwear to go in the pool, sun gear to protect me from the sun, Bathroom supplies to keep me clean and scuffs so I don’t have to walk around with burning feet. If I did this task again I would choose different things to bring (Pool toys, fan ect).      My favourite thing to do while on holiday is go exploring around the shops. What do you enjoy doing on holiday?

Whirling Winter

Hola Blog Readers.

Today I did the Kick start winter holiday 101. I enjoyed choosing the activities I wanted to do. For the activities I chose Snowboarding because I’ve always wanted to go Snowboarding and Yoonering because I’ve never heard about Yoonering. I found out that Yoonering is an activity sort of like Snowboarding  except you sit down instead of standing up. I found it hard choosing what to bring. I ended up choosing some things you will want in the winter: Bathroom supplies to keep me clean, Bed needs to keep me warm at night, Winter Coat and Warm outfit to keep me warm at day time, Winter boots to keep my feet warm and Beanie to keep my head warm.  There are some things I couldn’t add because I didn’t have the room (Gloves, hoodie ect). I chose Mount Hutt as my destination because I have always wanted to go snowboarding and you can go snowboarding here. In Mount Hutt it is a snowy winter and I think that would be super fun. I would like to visit Thai land some day because I think they would have some really nice kai there. Where would you visit for a holiday and who would you want to bring???

Summer Sunset

Today I made a summer beach scene. This process had hard yet easy steps. This task was probably one of my top 3 favourite activity’s so far. I enjoyed learning how to make a sun’s reflection and designing a 2 colour background. The parts I found trickiest was making the palm trees and trying to form the shape of the umbrella. If I did this activity again I would try to make the umbrella look a little bit more realistic. Have you ever been to the beach at sunset?

Sea Adventures

Hi Blog Readers.

Today I tried the Under The Sea animation. I found this activity super fun. My favourite part about doing this activity was getting to choose the animals. The animals I used were an Octopus and a Crab. Did you know that there are more than 4,500 species of Crabs? I decided not to put an ending to my animation because I thought that it would be fun to see what ideas for an ending you guys can come up with in the comments. Let me know what ideas for an ending you came up with…

What’s your favourite sea creature?
