Today I made a summer beach scene. This process had hard yet easy steps. This task was probably one of my top 3 favourite activity’s so far. I enjoyed learning how to make a sun’s reflection and designing a 2 colour background. The parts I found trickiest was making the palm trees and trying to form the shape of the umbrella. If I did this activity again I would try to make the umbrella look a little bit more realistic. Have you ever been to the beach at sunset?

  1. Kia ora Hayley,

It is Charlotte here, a blog commenter from the Summer Learning Journey. Well done on your awesome post! I think this activity is great because you can be as creative as you would like.

Ka pai on using different gradients to create depth to your piece of art! This piece of art leads me to believe that you are quite creative, is art one of your favourite subjects at school? It was mine because I love how you can use it to express yourself in so many different ways.

Well done including a question at the end of your blog! This helps to encourage people to leave a comment. In answer to your question, I have been to the beach at sunset. The beach is one of my favourite places to be in Summer as I enjoy spending time with my friends and family swimming in the ocean!

    1. Konnichiwa Charlotte,

      Thanks for your comment.

Art isn’t actually one of my favourites, but I do enjoy it.
Sunsets are very beautiful, I get a great view from over the back fence at my house.

I love to swim in the Ocean with my Whanau too. But I’m not a fan of the itchiness after the swim
so I swim at rivers more. Do you swim in rivers or oceans more?

      Thanks again
      – Hayley.
